April 29, 2025

French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation’s leading public relations, public affairs, advertising and digital media agencies, today announced it has retained Eric Cedo as a Business Development Executive.

Eric Cedo headshotCedo brings more than two decades of experience in marketing, communications, and business development and will expand FWV’s network in the mobility, technology, and B2B sectors. He is working with FWV’s Detroit office and focused on securing new client relationships at the regional and national levels.

“Eric has a deep understanding of the regional business landscape and the creative economy that continues to shape Detroit’s resurgence,” said FWV Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Rick French. “We are pleased that he has chosen to join our team in a fractional role, while at the same time opening the door to exciting new collaborations between FWV and BrandTrellis.”

Cedo has held several executive-level positions in marketing and communications in Metro Detroit, most recently as director of marketing communications at Crain Communications, where he was responsible for corporate marketing, public relations, and community engagement. He also led marketing efforts at Crain’s Detroit Business and Crain’s Cleveland Business.

Widely recognized as a connector and advocate for Detroit’s creative and entrepreneurial communities, Cedo has played a key role in initiatives that have driven more than $400 million in direct economic investment in the city. He and French first met more than a decade ago through Detroit Homecoming, an invitation-only event conceived by Crain’s to engage prominent expats in the city’s revitalization.

Cedo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
