The Detroit Regional Chamber released the February 2026 Michigan Voter Poll. In a discussion with President and Chief Executive Officer of the Detroit Regional Chamber, Sandy K. Baruah, he highlights stand out results from the poll including Michiganders unawareness of the ranking of the state. Baruah says, “When you ask Michiganders what is our percentage of population that has a college degree, they rank us on average at 25, dead center. In reality, we’re 33rd. When you ask them, what is our student performance in reading, they say that we’re about 27th. In reality, we’re 44th.”
