Project: An interactive and multi-sensory play space designed for children and families that encourages parents to do the following six daily with their children: encourage and hug, read, talk, sing, and play.

Progressive Art Studio Collective 

Project Lead: Anthony Marcellini, PASC Program Manager
Project: A studio and exhibitions program for artists with developmental disabilities and mental health differences will use this grant to improve its first public Detroit Gallery and Studio in Lantern by building an office space, art material storage, and more professional storage space for PASC artwork.

Project: ABC Mobile Vision is a mobile vision clinic that travels to schools and communities, providing comprehensive eye exams and eyeglasses. The grant funding will maintain the organization’s vehicle, purchase office supplies, and update equipment.

Beaverland Farms LLC 

Project Lead: Brittney Rooney, Owner and Manager
Project: Beaverland Farms will grow its community farm stand in Detroit’s Brightmoor neighborhood through its proposed improvements in staffing, infrastructure upgrades, event programming, and marketing. These investments will increase access to fresh produce, foster community engagement through workshops, and support local farmers. This project will promote sustainability, food security, and social connection.

Project: After overcoming the challenges of foster care and entrepreneurship, owner Catheryn Coleman became an internationally certified Balloon Artist and opened the Detroit Balloon Store. Driven by resilience and the desire to inspire her children, she creates transformative balloon art and event experiences. Her passion lies in empowering others, proving that hard work and vision can spark endless possibilities.

Happy Bounce LLC

Project Lead: Denise Clemons, Owner
Project: With this grant funding, this business plans to complete the renovation of its facility, including flooring, interior finishing, and essential climate control. These improvements will allow them to host year-round community events and provide clients with a more comfortable and inviting space. Additionally, they intend to expand their equipment inventory to diversify offerings to better serve the community with new and interactive options like outdoor movie setups and games for various ages.

Project: Through NeighborHUB funding, this organization will prepare a permanent facility to open their daycare center, which has been a long time coming with several setbacks due to water leakage, plumbing, and parking issues.

Mockery Zero Proof 

Project Lead: Karlyta Williams, Owner
Project: The project transforms Mockery, Detroit’s first non-alcoholic bottle shop, into a community hub for connection and wellness. The space will host curated events such as non-alcoholic tastings, mindfulness workshops, and creative gatherings that promote a reimagined approach to social rituals. By providing a space for intentional connection and inclusivity, the shop seeks to contribute to Detroit’s growing movement of wellness-oriented initiatives, offering a cosmopolitan yet approachable experience for all.

The Coloring Museum LLC

Project Lead: Sherrie Savage, Owner
Project: The Coloring Truck is a new mobile service by The Coloring Museum, bringing interactive art experiences to the community. This 26-foot trailer offers on-site coloring and painting activities, creating a safe, fun, and therapeutic space for schools, events, and neighborhoods while promoting mindfulness, creativity, and connection through art.

Next Chapter Books 

Project Lead: Jay Williams, Co-owner
Project: Next Chapter Books sought this grant to create and implement a one-year program consisting of a monthly book club for middle-grade and high school students. Specifically, this grant will allow the organization to hire a program coordinator to administer and direct book clubs throughout the 2025-2026 school year and inspire young people to help select great books, read the material, and craft engaging conversations. 

The program will be open to students to join each month as they are able. During the summer, 40 students can pick up a free book to read each month while the book club is on break.
