Get to Know Your Chamber Team: New Staff and Promotions

This summer, the Detroit Regional Chamber made several updates to its team structure, including expanding the leadership team through internal promotions. Learn more about these updates below.

 Staff Welcome (Back)

Jim Martinez headshot

The Chamber team welcomes back Jim Martinez, former Chamber Communications Director, in the new role of Vice President of Communications and Business Intelligence. In this role, Jim oversees the Chamber’s communications, marketing, and research work, which provides business thought leadership to Southeast Michigan and beyond. Jim returns to the Chamber following his time leading communications for the Wayne County Executive and running his own content creation consultancy, CraftWord

Promotions

The Chamber team is pleased to announce several internal promotions.
 

Jason Jurczyk headshot

Jason Jurczyk has been named Vice President of Finance and Revenue Growth. In this role, Jason manages the monthly financial cycle of the Chamber and the annual audit of all organizations. He also oversees the Hub-365 program and the revenue related to the program.

Wendy Nodge

Wendy Nodge has been named Vice President of Signature Events and Convenings. In this role, Wendy leads a team of experienced and innovative internal event planners and external vendors in the planning and execution of in-person and virtual Chamber Board of Directors meetings, events, and programs, including the Chamber’s unique-in-the-nation Mackinac Policy Conference, Detroit Policy Conference, State of the Region, and International Women’s Day Luncheon. 

Lori Ostrow Headshot

Lori Ostrow has been named Vice President of Member and Investor Relations. In this role, she is responsible for the engagement and retention strategy for the Chamber’s members and investors and new membership development. She leads a team responsible for over $3 million in Chamber revenue and supports the Chamber Board of Directors’ activities and communications. 

Partnerships and Leadership Support

Earlier this year, the Chamber announced Tammy J. Carnrike’s retirement as Chief Operating Officer after two decades with the Chamber. As Tammy pursues her next ventures, she will stay connected with the Chamber as an Executive Advisor.

Similarly, following Brad Williams’ departure and move to Clark Hill Public Strategies, he will continue to support the Chamber’s Public Policy and Business Advocacy as a consultant. Learn more about the Chamber’s advocacy efforts and team.
