In an informative and demonstrative session with Acro Service Corp.’s Chief Operating Officer, Hushedar Mehta, and Director of Strategic Solutions, Greg Warmer, attendees learn the benefits of incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into the recruitment process. These speakers break down the time recruiters get back, examples of incorporating AI, and how to use the technology responsibly in such an important process as recruitment.

Smarter Recruitment Process

AI’s ability to multitask helps recruiters with the mundane tasks and allows them to make informed decisions quickly by ranking which candidates are the best fit based on their experience, education, background, and interests. This accelerated process ensures hires are quality and keeps candidates engaged through the process before they can lose interest or take a better or faster offer from a different company.

In the recruitment process, the tools like an applicant tracking system, vendor management system, and AI agents provide efficient resume screening to find the one that best fits the position being sought to fill. With conversational AI chatbots and platforms that compare the job description with candidate information, recruiters actually get time back and an opportunity to dedicate more time to the “human” side of recruitment.

The Return on AI in Hiring

Mehta also addresses a fear many in the workforce experience in the conversation of AI: “Will AI take our jobs?” He reassures that AI is not meant to keep humans out of recruitment; it, in fact, gives them time back and more room to connect with candidates.

He says, “You will actually find a lot more time to make recruiting more engaging and bring in the human touch to explain to a candidate how to prep for the interview and what the panel is expecting.”

Go Slow to Go Fast: Integrating AI in Recruitment

AI is still new to many organizations, so for those struggling to get started, Mehta breaks down the steps they should take.

“The golden rule is to try to analyze your workspace in a week, in a month, and see what outputs you are creating. Then bring in technology,” he said.

Wherever the bottlenecks are in your organization, there is opportunity for AI to bridge the gap. He also emphasizes the importance of involving managers, executives, security, and IT in this process to protect the organization and ensure mutual understanding among all parties, so no one is left behind in its integration. When organizations take the time to become experts in AI use gradually, they can maximize the benefits it delivers, making their workflows faster and more efficient.
