Jonathan Miller II is a Community Engagement Coordinator for the Detroit Reconnect at the Detroit Regional Chamber, engaging in a multigenerational approach to increase college degree attainment in the Detroit Region. He works with other staff to conduct outreach and build awareness about the Detroit Promise, Detroit Reconnect, and Detroit Drives Degrees (D3) summer college access programming.
As a Detroit native and Detroit Public Schools Community District graduate, Miller is committed to improving educational outcomes and eradicating barriers that may hinder Detroiters from thriving. He is enthusiastic about community involvement and dedicated to helping individuals from all walks of life pursue post-secondary education.
Before joining the Chamber, Miller worked as a College and Career Access Counselor and served two years as an AmeriCorps member with the Michigan State University College Advising Corps.
Miller earned his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Science from Michigan State University.
Miller is an avid bike rider and enjoys riding in metro Detroit parks. He enjoys trying new restaurants, binging a good TV series, and spending time with his family and friends in his free time.
