Ashley M. Burns, Director of Property Management at Communities First, Inc. (CFI), has been selected for the National Apartment Association’s (NAA) Diversity Leadership Program Class of 2026. The prestigious yearlong program, founded in 2020, annually selects up to 15 emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds in the rental housing industry for mentorship and professional development focused on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Burns said she looks forward to growing as a leader and applying the experience to better serve residents and strengthen her organization’s work in Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, Lansing, and Gary, Ind. Glenn Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer of CFI, praised her selection as a reflection of her dedication and leadership, noting the opportunity will further enhance CFI’s commitment to providing high-quality, equitable housing.
