Leading Urbanist and Best-Selling Author Richard Florida to Speak at the 2023 Detroit Policy Conference

Richard Florida, international best-selling author of “Rise of the Creative Class,” will take the stage at the 2023 Detroit Policy Conference on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Florida will discuss the future of downtown areas in a post-COVID-19 era, turning Detroit into a destination, and how attracting high-tech talent can contribute to the city’s next chapter.

Florida is a pioneering researcher and professor at the University of Toronto. He is co-founder of now Bloomberg’s CityLab, the leading publication devoted to cities and urbanism. 

Further, Florida is the founder of the Creative Class Group, advising companies such as BMW, Audi, Starwood Hotels, Facebook, Instagram, Converse, Microsoft, and several others. 

Florida serves on the boards of leading real estate, urban innovation, and venture capital firms across the globe.
