In an appearance on The Pulse with Roop Raj, Sandy K. Baruah, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Detroit Regional Chamber, discusses the potential and detrimental impact of introducing Chinese vehicles to the U.S. market.

The problem with Chinese-built and Chinese manufacturers and Chinese-sold vehicles in the United States, which we do not have yet, causes two problems. It’s a huge economic security problem. The amount of Chinese vehicles built in the world is double that of the Chinese capacity to consume them,” Baruah said. “Plus, the Chinese government is subsidizing the holy you-know-what out of each Chinese vehicle manufactured. That means that they’re dumping those vehicles across the planet. The United States is one of the last places on the planet, certainly in the Western world, that has said absolutely not.”
