Stephanie Weiss

Director, Detroit Drives Degrees Community College Collaborative, Detroit Regional Chamber

Stephanie Weiss is the Director of the Detroit Drives Degrees Community College Collaborative (D3C3) at the Detroit Regional Chamber, where she leads efforts to elevate the role of community colleges and convene cross-sector organizations to drive equitable systems change in the Detroit region. She has served on multiple Chamber committees focused on diversity, economic equity, and inclusion. Stephanie has presented on D3C3 at national and local conferences and is an active participant in the national professional network of Talent Hub leaders. She has also contributed to various education policy workgroups across Michigan.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Stephanie taught high school special education math and worked as a college access counselor at a public Title I high school in New York City. After nearly a decade in education, she earned her Master of Public Affairs from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she served as Chair of the Women and Gender in Public Policy Student Organization and earned a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Stephanie also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Social Work from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, and a Master of Science in Education from Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York.
