Student Success Cluster Meeting

On June 13, the Detroit Drives Degrees Community College Collaborative (D3C3) held a Student Success Cluster meeting at Schoolcraft College. The meeting featured an engaging academic best practices panel with panelists from Del Mar College, Wayne State University, Persistence Plus, and the Michigan Community College Association. The panelists shared their insights on innovative strategies to enhance student success, providing valuable knowledge and inspiration for all attendees.

In addition to the panel, the meeting included special topic breakout sessions focused on professional development for advisors and career and credential pathway mapping. These sessions allowed participants to dive deeper into these critical areas, discussing practical solutions and strategies to support advisors and help students navigate their educational and career paths more effectively.

K-12 Alignment Cluster Meeting

On June 18, D3C3 held another meeting, this time for its K-12 Alignment Cluster at the Detroit Regional Chamber. The meeting featured engaging discussion led by experts from the City Colleges of Chicago, Columbia University, and Public Policy Associates. The speakers shared insights that outlined exemplary dual enrollment best practices and strategies from successfully implemented programs.

D3C3’s college partners were also given space to refine their dual enrollment strategic plans through interactive sessions and collaborative discussions. This collaborative environment allowed educators and administrators to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable steps to enhance their programs. By focusing on exemplary practices, equitable access, and strategic planning, the meeting laid the groundwork for more inclusive and effective dual enrollment programs in the future.
