Glenn Stevens on the Gordie Howe International Bridge

As two regions that rely on one another the Detroit Region and Windsor, Ontario are also relying on the opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge for ease of transporting people, goods, and international security. Because of their strong, existing relationship, Glenn Stevens Jr., MichAuto Executive Director details the importance of finding a resolution to this issue. Stevens Jr. says, “We’ve been doing business in the auto industry for 125 years with Ontario. Complex supply chains, interwoven people, jobs, economic impact. And we need to keep this together. This is really important for us, not just for our economies in Canada and Michigan and the [United States] U.S., but for us to be globally competitive. That’s really our focus here.”
