Small Businesses Asked to Provide Feedback to the 2024 Small Business Credit Survey

October 3, 2024

Small business owners play a crucial role in shaping the economy, and their voices are more important than ever in today’s dynamic environment. Because of this, small business owners and businesses with fewer than 500 employees are invited to participate in the 2024 Small Business Credit Survey (SBCS).

The SBCS is a collaborative effort by all 12 Federal Reserve Banks and provides invaluable, timely data about small business conditions to policymakers and service providers, ensuring that small businesses challenges and needs are heard. The Cleveland Federal Reserve leads this system-wide initiative.

Why Participate in the 2024 Small Business Credit Survey

The survey gives policymakers critical insights into the realities small businesses face, particularly in regard to the credit environment, and helps shape policies, programs, and financial services. This directly impacts small businesses, specifically if they’re seeking credit, managing cash flow, or navigating changing market conditions.

The survey takes just 10–12 minutes to complete and is entirely anonymous. Share your business’s experiences with confidence, knowing that your information is secure. Feedback on several areas critical to understanding the small business landscape, including business performance, financing needs, and borrowing experiences, will be requested. From this, the Federal Reserve has a pulse a on the current small business environment and can highlight the obstacles and opportunities small businesses encounter.
