Alexander Rey, a securities filing and compliance specialist for Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been named to the Michigan Lawyers Weekly “Unsung Heroes” Class of 2025.
The Unsung Heroes award recognizes legal professionals who consistently go above and beyond, often behind the scenes. Honorees represent the state’s most talented and dedicated support professionals, including firm administrators, legal marketers, and paralegals.
As a securities filing and compliance specialist, Rey works with Warner’s nationally recognized Impact Investing Practice Group assisting the firm’s nonprofit community development financial institution and church extension fund clients with state and federal compliance matters. He works closely with state securities examiners on public debt securities, charitable investment pools, and other collective investment fund matters. He prepares and files annual offering materials nationwide, manages state issuer agent registrations and renewals, and oversees ongoing Blue Sky compliance.
Rey also supports Warner’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Insolvency and Corporate practice groups, where he manages administrative functions and provides client support on consumer and commercial bankruptcies, buy- and sell-side transactions, and registered investment adviser compliance matters.
Rey holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Michigan. He resides in Clawson with his partner, Amy.
