Juneteenth 2025 at The Wright

Experience an unforgettable Juneteenth at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. The event will feature welcome remarks from the museum’s President and Chief Executive Officer Neil A. Barclay, a reflection of Juneteenth by the City of Detroit’s official historian, Jamon Jordan, a bike ride, dance, live music, and more. This event is a space for all to come together—across generations and backgrounds—to honor the resilience of our ancestors, uplift our stories, and carry forward the fight for equality and liberation.
4th Annual Hamtramck Stadium Juneteenth Celebration

Enjoy a home run derby and speech from Dale Hale, grandson of Eulyn “Red” Hale of the Detroit Stars, a baseball team in the Negro Leagues.
Hart of Detroit Summer Fest x AfroFuture x DVE Juneteenth Block Party
June 19 | Noon to 5 p.m.
Celebrate Juneteenth with Hart of Detroit, AfroFuture, and DVE. The event will feature live performances and a curated marketplace with Detroit’s most creative vendors and local food artisans, plus interactive games and community activities. Tickets cost $18. Following the block party, 6-11 p.m., there will be a Summer Fest Concert (tickets required – $45), featuring local talent.

Juneteenth in Royal Oak

Head to the heart of downtown Royal Oak as the city honors Juneteenth, a powerful day of freedom, reflection, and community. This family-friendly celebration will feature live music, local Black-owned vendors, food trucks, music, and activities for all ages—all in recognition of the day freedom reached the last enslaved Americans in 1865.

As part of Farmington Hill’s commitment to honoring African American heritage and commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, the city is hosting a vibrant event that brings together local talents and renowned performers. Juneteenth Freedom and Funding: A Networking Celebration at Hotel St. Regis
June 20 | 7-10 p.m.
In collaboration with Bullish Institute of Financial Literacy LLC and Black Leaders Detroit, Juneteenth Jubilee in Detroit will host an upscale networking event designed to uplift Black entrepreneurship through live music, powerful networking, and an entrepreneur grant competition.
