May 12, 2025

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Community Financial Credit Union (Community Financial), a Michigan-based credit union with 14 branches and growing, announced a strategic leadership transition that reflects its forward-thinking approach to talent and workplace innovation. Danielle Frawley, who has served as chief growth officer for the past two years, will shift into a newly created fractional leadership role that will allow her to pursue a second career while continuing to contribute to the credit union’s strategic growth. Ashlee Battocletti, a credit union industry veteran, will officially join Community Financial as Chief Growth Officer on June 9, 2025.

“This transition reflects who we are at Community Financial, an organization committed to courageously shaping the future of work, finding ways to support the journey of our team members, and relentlessly pursuing the impossible dreams of Michiganders,” said Tansley Stearns, president and CEO. “We celebrate Danielle’s evolution and are thrilled to welcome Ashlee, whose leadership and values align perfectly with our human-first approach to supporting people in both their personal dreams and professional goals.” Frawley’s new role continues her impact within the organization while embracing a flexible, nontraditional pathway that exemplifies creative role creation. Her background spans executive leadership across marketing, lending, digital innovation and member engagement. She will initially focus on enhancing the frontline experience while supporting broader strategic initiatives.

“Serving as chief growth officer at Community Financial has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career,” said Frawley. “This organization truly supports people as whole individuals. I’m grateful to continue contributing in a way that aligns with both my growth and the credit union’s future.”

Battocletti brings extensive expertise in member experience, branch operations and engagement strategy. She most recently served as SVP of Strategic Growth for Civic Federal Credit Union and has held leadership roles at Canvas Credit Union (CO) and Blue FCU (WY).

“It’s an honor to join a team so dedicated to people-first innovation,” said Battocletti. “Community Financial Credit Union feels like coming home to a place that believes in possibility. I look forward to helping the organization grow with intention and impact.”

This transition is part of Community Financial’s broader talent strategy to embrace flexible work, support individual growth and build leadership pipelines that reflect its purpose to create joy and ignite Michiganders’ impossible dreams.

The transition also highlights the strong network of collaboration and trust that defines Community Financial’s leadership. Stearns and Frawley previously worked together at Filene Research Institute, while Stearns and Battocletti previously led teams together at Canvas Credit Union. The trio’s shared history speaks to the value of connection and continuity in creating transformative workplaces.

Community Financial remains focused on advancing its purpose, deepening relationships with members, and supporting a workplace culture that honors flexibility, inclusion and growth.
